Deep Water Solo Festival (DWS Fest)
After starting off as a group of mates climbing the cliffs in Dorset the event has become the must go to event of the UK climbing scene. It remains true to its roots by still being niche, fun and all about climbing. Obviously there is the usual messy party on the Saturday night, but it is all about the climbing.
Over the last few years the event has taken place in Dorset and Pembrokeshire. The festival allows all levels of climbers to climb together on 90 foot cliffs above the sea with no ropes allowed. Either reach the top or fall to the sea it's a simple choice.
The event hosts two different competitions in the famous speed climbing contest as well as the all day endurance test. If you just want to come and soak up the sun then come down and enjoy the celebrated Speed climbing event that pits free climbers against the clock. The elite athletes scale the 70 ft route in as quick a time as possible and then fall to the water. Only then does the clock stop.

Aerial Assault (run in 2005 and 2006)
Working along side Detail Events, X1 Sports pioneered the first ever Aerial Assault competition in Manchester .
The Aerial Assault pits some of the countries top climbers against each other using the city buildings as their own climbing playground. Pairs of climbers are sent off in a timed race across the city armed with a map, a chalk bag and a lot of enthusiasm. As they race around the city they stop off at the 12 different check points and climb the buildings in front of them.
Each building is graded for difficulty and then marks are awarded as appropriate for completion, number of attempts and time taken. These points are then combined with the overall time and the winners of Aerial Assault are crowned.
